Supanova

Well it looks like I haven't posted in a while (looks guilty) I never have anything to post about... except my trip to Melbourne but I was sick at that time, though I did have fun! Anyway, on the 18th on this month my two friends and I had the best time at Supanova Pop Culture Expo! A lot of people cosplay (aka dress up) for this so me and one other friend went as female versions of the 5th and 10th Doctor from Doctor who, me being the 5th as he is my favorite Doctor! As we were walking around we saw some people dressed as Weeping Angels (a Doctor Who Alien) and we asked if we could have a picture with them they very kindly said yes.

These are the real ones. And here we are!Ah talk about your happy times! There were many other things too like remote controlled robots roaming about the place (we got attacked by one), lots of stalls to buy things from (I got a Peter Davison autograph!), the Green Hornets car, life sized Daleks and quite a few famous people (I've never heard of half of them) but the cast of I Dream of Jennie were there, I got an autograph from Bill Daily who played Roger Healey. He was so kind and said I nicely I was dressed.

That's all for now, bye!

Fifties Fair

My friend and I went to a fifties fair yesterday.
This is us having a professional photo shoot.
(Sorry about our faces being cut out,
but we wish to keep our identities to ourselves.)
The dresses were really nice and authentic.
Everyone was enjoying themselves.
The hostess with the mostess.
I loved the dancing and the singing.

My friend and I wanted to dance but we didn't have partners and we felt too embarrassed to dance together.
We had a great time and I hope I can bribe my cousin in to coming next year.

(Hehe, joking.)

Monkee Obsessed

I'm really obsessed with the Monkees right now, I even named four of my toy dogs after them.
And I asked my Mum to buy the Monkees Annual for me, this one's from 1969.And this one's from 1967. I'm still waiting for the 1968 one to come. Here are some funny comics from my two annuals:
This one is funny, I personally don't think the fashion today is very appealing, not to mention practical.
I love this one!
This is very true, Davy Jones is only five feet and three inches. Poor guy.

My Famous Five character was:

Computer Art

I made little cartoon faces of the Monkees (a band of the 1960's, in case you didn't know) on my laptop today, they're quite cute, if I do say so myself. It didn't take very long, probably only four hours altogether. From the left they are: Davy Jones (the lady's man), Peter Tork (the simple one), Micky Dolenz (the funny one) and Mike Nesmith (the leader and my favorite Monkee).

Book Review

I have just finished reading Amazon Adventure by Willard Price, Here are my thoughts on it:

Was it a good Adventure? Yes it was, but it got a bit extreme at some points.

Were the characters well written? Yes, the main bad guy especially.

Was it educational? Yes definitely, Willard Price was a natural historian.

Was it suspenseful? Not to me it wasn't, but some people might find it so.

Would you recommend it? YES, it's good for home schoolers.

Your overall opinion. Well written, fun and you learn a lot, what more could you want?
